Join us! As a Friend of the Randell Cottage Writers Trust you will make a valuable contribution to the success of this important writers’ residency in historic Thorndon, Wellington.
Members’ subscriptions and donations support our efforts to raise awareness of the residency and our writers’ work, as well as subsidising important maintenance of the Cottage.
Members receive frequent updates and news on the activities of the writers and the Trust. They have the opportunity to attend:
- the annual Randell Cottage Open Day held in late October or early November
- events involving the Randell Cottage resident writer at the National Library and the Alliance Française, as well as functions at Lilburn House, the Rita Angus Cottage and the Katherine Mansfield Birthplace
- our Annual General Meeting with a guest speaker, usually held in May or June
- other special Friends events organised from time to time.
We welcome members’ participation as volunteer guides on our Open Day and helping to support the work of our part-time gardener in an annual Working Bee.
