In speaking to an enthusiastic audience that included a number of Randell Cottage representatives, Lynn acknowledged the impact of her time in the Cottage, as she also does in the book itself (page 149): ‘This residency saved me in so many ways, not least giving me a lovely Victorian worker’s cottage in Wellington to live in while I write this memoir.’
