Dame Fiona’s life documentary ‘The House Within’ appears in Paris

Her Excellency Caroline Bilkey with Dame Fiona Kidman

Following its successful launch in New Zealand, the acclaimed new documentary on the life of Dame Fiona Kidman has featured at a special showing in Paris, attended by dignitaries including past writers-in-residence at Randell Cottage.

The New Zealand Ambassador to France, Her Excellency Caroline Bilkey, wrote, “A wonderful weekend of New Zealand culture in Paris. I saw the excellent documentary ‘The House Within’ about the life of one of our greatest writers, Dame Fiona Kidman, at the musée Quai Branly and it was a privilege to meet her afterwards. She is a former Katherine Mansfield fellow who spent time in Menton and has a strong affinity for France.”

The focal point of Dame Fiona’s trip is a special screening of  The House Within at the St Tropez Antipodes Film Festival. We look forward to more news of her triumphant travels.
